KSrelief launches new aid distribution project in Logar
KABUL (AIP): The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched a new phase of its food assistance program in Afghanistan, beginning with the distribution of aid to one thousand families in Logar province.
A ceremony marking the start of the project was held on Monday (Feb. 9) in Pul-e-Alam, the provincial capital of Logar. The event was attended by Logar Deputy Governor Mohammad Anwar Din Parwar, Provincial Director of Refugee Affairs Masood Akhundzada, and representatives of the KSrelief and partner technical organizations.
Provincial officials welcomed the initiative, expressing gratitude to KSrelief, particularly as the cold winter continues and the holy month of Ramadan approaches. They also assured that the aid distribution process would be carried out with full transparency.
The assistance is being provided under the title “Fifth Food Distribution Program–2026,” targeting 1000 needy families and recently returned refugees in Pul-e-Alam and Mohammad Agha district.
Each beneficiary family is receiving essential food items, including rice, beans, flour, cooking oil, and sugar. The technical implementation of the distribution is being managed by the Tauheed Organization.
Officials noted that this new phase of aid will be extended to 10 provinces across the country.
The KSrelief, which has been active in humanitarian work in Afghanistan for several years, has recently intensified its assistance efforts, particularly for families forcibly deported from neighboring countries. Ends
